Hypnotherapy for stress

You can feel stressed when you feel like the demands on you exceed your ability to cope. The stress response is designed for life threatening situations and is very useful if a hungry lion is chasing you. However, these days it is more likely to occur because of modern frantic life, and it is an unhelpful response in these times. If you get stressed regularly, you are at risk of illnesses such as IBS, heart disease or cancer.

This is because the stress response switches off any systems in the body not necessary for short-term survival such as the digestion, the immune system and the reproductive functions. You may be experiencing:

  • Shallow breathing
  • Heart pounding
  • Sweaty palms
  • Dry mouth
  • Difficulty thinking clearly
  • Headaches/ migraines
  • Digestive problems
  • Sleep disorders
  • Decreased sex drive
How I can help
By turning down the level of your stress response, in non-life threatening situations, you can achieve a helpful level of stress that motivates you, without harming you.
  • You will learn about how to work with your body to help it cope better with the demands of modern life
  • You will learn how to relax deeply
  • We can look at your current life circumstances and agree some practical solutions.
