Hypnotherapy for Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Post-Traumatic Stress occurs in about 25% of individuals who have experienced or witnessed an event or events which caused them extreme fear, helplessness, horror or stress. You can get Post-Traumatic stress disorder after:
- Personal attack
- Rape
- War
- Terrorism
- Natural disasters
- Transport crashes
- Traumatic child birth
Everyone is different. You can experience an event as distressing or fearful, even if other people experience the same or a similar event comfortably. Symptoms can appear at any time after the event or events. What you may be experiencing:
- Recurrent, distressing dreams of the event or events
- Recurrent, distressing recollections of the event or events, reproducing a feeling in the body and mind, almost as intense as the original event
- Flashbacks to the event or events
- Feelings of depression
How I can help
- The Rewind Technique was specifically developed to make the memory of the event more comfortable in just one session.
- You will not have to discuss the experience if you do not wish to
- The treatment is very relaxed and dissociated from the original experience.
PTSD client
Even after many years, I was still tied to regularly re-experiencing that event. This kept me feeling very much like I was still that person, despite how far I had moved on. The treatment cut my emotional ties to that time, and it has faded away into the past and I feel like myself in the present tense I had no idea such a treatment existed, I think many people still don't.
